Nana Saheb Peshwa
The legendary commander-in-chief of India's First War of Independence (1857). Following the rebellion, Nana Saheb Peshwa evaded the British Empire and lived for 46 years in sacred spiritual seclusion in Sihor as Yogindra Dayanand Maharaj until attaining Samadhi in 1906.
Historical documents, letters, and personal artifacts preserved by the Mehta family in Sihor bear testament to the Peshwa's secret life, protected by trusted local confidants.
નાના સાહેબ પેશ્વા
ભારતના પ્રથમ સ્વાતંત્ર્ય સંગ્રામ (૧૮૫૭) ના મહાન સેનાપતિ નાના સાહેબ પેશ્વા અંગ્રેજો સામે લડ્યા બાદ સિહોર પધાર્યા હતા. અહીં તેમણે "યોગીન્દ્ર દયાનંદ મહારાજ" ના નામે ૪૬ વર્ષ સુધી તપસ્વી તરીકે ગુપ્તવાસ વિતાવી ૧૯૦૬ માં સમાધિ લીધી હતી.
સિહોરના મહેતા પરિવાર પાસે સાચવેલા ઐતિહાસિક પત્રો, ડાયરી અને અવશેષો નાના સાહેબ પેશ્વાના સિહોરમાં ગુપ્તવાસ અને સ્થાનિક વફાદારીના અમૂલ્ય પુરાવા આપે છે.
